I was nervous walking into this place given the other reviews here on Google maps, however, the staff was very friendly in the room was completely clean (spotless). would recommend.
Location, location location great place to stop. The hotel is an inexpensive and pretty good experience. The front desk clerk very friendly and nice. The rooms are good the Internet TV needs work . The hotel is in good shape. I heard people complaining to the front desk about stuff. It’s a Fairfield Inn in the middle of the state on I-95. It’s not a Ritz Carlton or JW. plenty of restaurants to eat around
I returned to the Fairfield Inn to Smithfield and am pleased that it has improved. My room was not ready at check-in as housekeeping was still working. But after sitting in the lobby for about 30 minutes, I was given an upgraded room. I'm not sure if this was because of my Titanium status or because of the wait. The prices are reasonable here. The parking lot was a good size, and the location was close to the outlets but not too far away from downtown either. It is also near I-95 and Route 301. I was provided a Welcome Bag with a bottle of water and some Chex Mix. My room was on the third floor, near the elevators. I wish there were more soundproofing, but the room was clean and provided an area for me to wind down. Extra pillows, sheets and blankets were provided. The cable channels were numerous this visit, and the WIFI was fast and reliable. I liked that there was natural light during the day and enough lighting at night. The mattresses are near the end of their life, as I could still feel the springs. Breakfast could use a few more offerings, and the tables could be cleaned in between guests.
My mother and I came from Charleston SC..From the time we checked in until today....Mrs.Bobbi checked us in,and when we woke up for breakfast on Wednesday,She is absolutely the Best!! She is an A1 employee.She represents you establishment to the fullest.. Attitude..superb People Skills.A+++ Overall...she rocks Just because of her..Will be Back Also,I'm a Breakfast attendant at Residence inn in North Charleston.SC.. Mrs.Bobbi deserves..a Raise She Rocks,!!! Also,I met 2 housekeepers Crystal and Tamar...they were very friendly!!! As for the young lady that worked overnight...She was awesome!!! Overall great place
We only stopped for the night traveling home to Massachusetts from Florida. We were able to check in late, staff were friendly, rooms were clean, it is a very easy on and off 95 which is a plus.
I am leaving a 5 start review because of Anthony! I am a longtime Marriott member, silver elite and this is one of the best receptionist that I have ever come across in my time traveling. He is so friendly and really cares about his guests. I have probably stayed in over 50 Marriotts and I could tell you that this is the best front desk receptionist that I have met in my entire life. This guy should run the entire hotel. In my opinion, he is phenomenal. I don’t really have anything to say about the room or anything else. Only that Anthony is amazing and that’s it.
Fairly straight and fresh hotel. Free breakfast - ok. Quiet, not a party place. Right next to Outlet Mall. Shower not working perfect. Water pressure and hot water should be better.
